Brow Lift using Antiwrinkle Injections

A Brow Lift often creates an open and more youthful appearance. When brows are heavy, you appear tired and old. Brows may become heavier as we age due to a loss of collagen and a reduction in the support tissue around the eyes. The tired look is aggravated by excess skin of the upper eyelid which appears to rest on the upper eyelashes.

Strategic placement of Antiwrinkle Injections can create a temporary lift to the eyebrows. By using the injections to relax the muscles that drag the brows down (corrugator, procerus, and orbicularis oculi muscles), the upward-pulling muscle of the Forehead (frontalis muscle) can contract and cause a physical lift of the brows for as long as the Antiwrinkle Injections remain active, usually between three and five months.

Muscles of the face have specific functions. Some pull parts of the face up (elevator muscles) and other pull it down (depressor muscles). With our expertise, we can selectively weaken targeted muscles to improve the muscle balance of the face thereby creating a brow lift whilst maintaining a natural look.

By strategic placement of Anti Wrinkle Injections, we may subtly alter the shape of the brow lift, e.g.

• raise the whole brow, 
• predominantly raise the outer edge of the brow, 
• create arched brows, 
• a flatter shaped brow lift as would be more appropriate in a male.
